This was the name of several kings of Denmark, including Valdemar I of Denmark (1131 - 1182), also known as Valdemar the Great, the King of Denmark from 1157 until 1182;
Valdemar II (1170 - 1241), called Valdemar the Conqueror or Valdemar the Victorious, the King of Denmark from 1202 until 1241;
Valdemar Atterdag (c. 1320 - 1375), the King of Denmark from 1340 until 1375.
