The name Caietanus means "from Caieta" in Latin. Caieta is now called Gaeta, it is a city and comune in the province
of Latina, in Lazio, central Italy. In Roman mythology, Caieta was the nurse of Aeneas, so the name of the city
was probably derived from this name.
